Our second challenge to write a Christian-themed story is actually a two part challenge. You may use either or both for your creation, which can be fic, art, whatever your Muses decide to bless you with.
The first is a quote. It came to me one morning when I was carrying little Stormy and Johnny, told them I had them, but being tired, murmured to myself, "But who's got me?" The answer surprisingly came to me immediate: God. So that's the quote: "Who's got me? God!" And something we all need to try to remember. No matter how tired we are, how frustrated, how scared, or hurt, God has us, and in the end, He will not let us down. It is often difficult to accept, but He knows what is best for us, will carry us through the hard times, and deliver us to the good.
The second part is our Bible verse of the month and comes to me in part due to my dear sister, hughville, and something we shared with me not too long ago. It's another thing we need to remember in the frenzied times when the Devil is attacking us and trying to make us doubt our Lord. Psalm 46:10-11 reads, "Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah." Basically, again, that's another reminder that no matter what we're going through, no matter what the Devil is throwing at us, we will come through it in the end as long as we hold to our God. He will take care of us. He will save us from whatever it is if saving us is the best course, but regardless, in the end, we will be okay because we have Him.
As a gentle reminder, here is our rules.
So there you have it, brothers and sisters, our new Christian Pens challenge:
"Who's got me? God!"
"Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah." -- Psalm 46:10-11
Use any part of either to inspire your Christian Pens creation this month!
Last month we only had one entry (and it was a Supernatural piece written by me here), but who knows what this brand new month will bring! Happy creating, everyone, and remember to hold to that Hand!
