“True knowledge exists in knowing that you know nothing.”
His sister laughed. “How can you say that?!”
“Because it’s true,” he answered, his arms, wrapped around her, steadying her for another trial. “Think about it. If you know that something cannot be done, then you’re already defeated, but if you realize that possibilities are limitless, that your power is limitless, that the power of the Force is limitless . . . then you can do anything.”
Leia glanced sideways at him. “Like moving that boulder?”
Luke smiled. “Yup. Or like saving our Father. Noone thought our father could be saved, Leia, including Obi-Wan. Yoda thought I was defeated before I even began, that if I let my emotions rule me, the Darkness would win.”
“But it didn’t.” She watched him carefully; his gaze was no longer focused on her. “What are you looking at?” she demanded.
“Our father. I was the only one who didn’t give up on him, but if I hadn’t listened to my emotions -- “
“But you did, Luke. You were the only one who looked out for me.”
“I want to see him! I want to know him!”
“Use the Force.”
The boulder moved, and Luke and their father smiled.
