Many things have changed for the loner Wolverine since he came to this school. Some of the things are so difficult to grasp -- he struggles with them daily --, but other changes have been easy, like slipping out his window long before the sun climbs up over the horizon. Summers thinks he sleeps all day after partying and fighting all night, but Logan doesn’t care what the so-called team leader thinks.
What he does care is that, in all he’s doing, he doesn’t lose himself. He needs these quiet moments away from so many people with their well intentions. He needs these early morning runs through the woods, tagging the deer with soft brushes of his fingertips. He needs these moments back home in Nature.
And he needs her even if he never speaks a word to her about it. Like himself, she thinks she’s alone, but they’re never really alone in this place. Still, they share one unspoken secret each morning as both greet the sun, Ororo letting the cape fall from her slender shoulders and the sun graze her beautiful body and Logan watching in awe not just of the Nature around him but of her, Mother Nature personified.
