"'He could kill you in a twinkle of an eye,' John said, finding Sammy looking out the boarded up window again.
'But that's not what everybody else says!' Sammy wailed, big eyes full of tears. I wanted to beat John's ass. I still want to sometimes, but there was never any winning an argument with my Father, especially back then."
"Heh. I can just imagine, Squirrel. Santa Claus is real, though, ya know."
"Heh. Way. Even if today's society has pretty much forced him into retirement. He's an old Elf, and he did used to give out toys before fathers like yours started loading his jolly butt full of buckshot."
"John would've done that more than that if he'd ever gotten his hands full. Sammy cried himself to sleep that night, all because of him. He left while I was still doing the dishes. I went to Sammy, and he woke up while I was getting in bed with him."
"So you held your brother while he cried?"
"Again. And that's why I became a thief. It was the first year I stole Christmas presents for him." Dean grins. "Wasn't much -- "
"But it was something." Crowley nods. "Merry Christmas, Squirrel."
