He watches her slam down the basket of clothes. He can see the thunderous look on her face, but he can't hear the words she's murmuring. "What are you complaining now?" he murmurs, caressing his crystal ball.

She always had had a skewed opinion of fairness, but what was fair after all? Was it fair that he could have given her everything, willingly offered her everything, and yet she had passed it all up to spend her life in servitude to another man where dirty dishes and clothes never seemed to end? "Sarah, Sarah." She never had learned a thing!
