Bobby's eyebrows shoot up when he realizes what Hank's reading. Hank has frequently covered himself in books, often reading more than one at a time, ever since Bobby's known him, but he's never really delved into this material before. Bobby turns slowly in Hank's lab, scanning the titles he can see and looking upon the ancient, yellowed pages of those texts that lay wide open. "Hank," he asks slowly, "is there something you wanna tell me?"
"They're not for me, Robert. Well, I suppose you could say they are, but they're really not quite for me, at least, not for this me -- "
Bobby's eyes narrow and the room drops a few temperatures as he zeroes in on Hank. "You're babbling." He shivers, actually feeling cold for the first time in a long time.
"My younger self -- the one I brought forward from the past -- has began dabbling in the arcane."
"That doesn't mean you have to!"
"Of course not! But . . . I am concerned."
Bobby catches Hank's hands and tugs until his eyes meet his. "Sweetheart, no matter what the other you is dabbling in, he's going to turn out just fine."
"How do you know?"
"Simple. Because I know you." Bobby's kiss hushes him.
