"Come on, Hank! You're making be the responsible one! That's not right!"
"Then stop doing it," Hank mumbles, pulling his blankets and pillow closer around his massive, furry body.
"I thought you said you don't hibernate!"
"Whoever said anything about hibernation?"
"The new girl yesterday," Bobby reminds him, still tugging at one hand and trying to get Hank's determined claws out of his blankets. "She asked you if big cats hibernate."
"They don't. In fact, many a number of animals who are reported to hibernate do not. They have deep, Winter sleeps but do not actually hibernate. What does that have to do with me?" He barely keeps himself from adding, And why can you not simply get back into this bed with me where you belong?
"You really don't know?" Bobby asks in disbelief.
Hank lifts his muscular, blue shoulders into a shrug of denial.
"She was asking, because she likes you. Half the school has a crush on you, Hank!"
"Preposterous," Hank mutters, blowing out a breath. "Besides, I'm yours, and you're mine. Now get back into this bed post haste, Rrrrroberrrrt."
Bobby can scarcely stand it normally when Hank's purrs his name, but today, after last night's close calls and the hours of love making that followed, it's impossible. His arms drop to his sides as he sighs defeat. "Fine," he mutters, his body still tingling from Hank's purr, "but you're explaining it to Scott."
"I will," Hank agrees, opening the covers. "Now get in here already."
Bobby laughs and dives in to the bed. Hank wraps him up quickly, covering him with both blankets and his own fur. Bobby giggles as he tickles him and only hushes again when Hank's lips once more find his. He gives a soft, satisfied moan against his boyfriend's mouth, surrendering happily to warmth and love.
