"I still can't believe you managed this!" Bobby cries eagerly as he and Hank take their seats in the otherwise empty theater. Hank smiles at his lover and dearest friend in the dark, preferring to be a man of mystery for once. Bobby shovels popcorn into his mouth and gabs around the kernels, "I mean, as many times as we've had our plans canceled because we had to go save the world, we've never been able to pick them right back up! That must have been some favor you called in!"
Hank's smile expands, the dimming lights seeming almost to illuminate his fangs. Bobby hasn't realized that there was only one person at the concession stand, or that that person was the same brave, young man who had greeted them at the door and taken their tickets. He doesn't even seem to care that the doors locked right after their entrance, and he's pretty certain he didn't notice that the lights in the parking lot went out.
"Saving the world has to come with a few perrrks," Beast finally admits through his wide and charming grin. It was just a stroke of unbelievable luck that one of the lives they saved today was that of the night manager of this very theater.
Bobby finally settles as the movie begins, nestling into Hank's soft, blue fur. They always choose these seats because the left chair's right arm broke years ago, allowing them to cuddle more closely as they watch. "Amazing," Bobby murmurs in between bites of popcorn, and Hank knows he's not only not talking about the movie but hasn't guessed any of his secrets. He slips a bite of popcorn himself and then begins to purr, deeply and contentedly, his arm stretching around Bobby, as their new friend continues rolling the film.
