Though it's dark, and Rowena's eyes don't see quite as well as they used to, the blood-curdling shriek ahead of her could only come from one person. She smiles. "Ah, Fergus," she starts to say but her son is cranky as always.
"Don't ah me, Mother, and put some bloody clothes on!" He turns his back on her and begins to walk away, but she catches at least part of his muttering. He wishes he didn't know who his mother is and is wondering if his father could be half as embarrassing.
"I 'twas nae diin' anythin' wrong, Fergus!" she calls after him, a smile on her face and a twinkle in her eyes. "Why, I was only dancing fer yer father!"
He stops and looks back slowly, one eyebrow arched. "I don't want to know, do I?"
She smiles and looks pointedly up at the black moon. "Yer Father's been lookin' o'er ye yer whole life -- "
He follows her gaze. "No. Just bloody no!" Rowena bursts out laughing as the King of Hell, her son, storms off again.
