Cinderella steps lightly over the fallen body. "I can never thank you enough," she whispers.

The mysterious, dark-haired beauty who first appeared to her out in the woods one night when she crying in her stepmother's garden shrugs as though she's done nothing more than mend a chipped teacup. "You helped me with my problem. The least I could do is help you with yours."

Her full, red lips first seemed to Cinderella to be the radiant shade of rubies, but now their brightness reminds her of flowing, crimson blood. "What do we do now?" she asks uncertainly.

The woman's called Snow White, but her name doesn't do her justice. She's much darker and more beautiful than snow, Cinderella thinks as she watches her lithe shoulders lift and fall in a carefree shrug. "Whatever we want." Cinderella's held still by the dark eyes that gaze into hers, seeming to see into her to her very soul.

After a moment, Snow White extends a hand. "Would you care to dance?" she asks.

Cinderella smiles as she slides her hand into hers. They waltz the rest of the night, long pass the hours of midnight striking, right over the bodies of the women who dared to call themselves her family yet abused her from the very moment her father died until tonight.

They waltz until sunrise, and then Snow White brings Cinderella to rest with her head against her shoulder. She kisses her gently. "We're free," she whispers, and Cinderella's heart sings.

"Your sister seems a little... frosty...."

Anna smiles at the newcomer. This isn't the first time she's heard this cautious phrase, and she knows it won't be the last. She also knows, however, that they couldn't be more wrong about Elsa. Most of their kingdom has come and understand to know Elsa's standoffishness stems from her concern for them, especially now that her powers have been revealed. She may know she's welcome, but she still keeps a distance from their subjects, not wanting to hurt any one.

A frown passes over Anna's features as she remembers the time Elsa kept herself so determinedly locked away from everybody, including her. She still misses those years they lost out on, but she knows the truth now. Elsa may be able to create snow and ice out of nothing but the magic within her, but she creates an altogether different, and far warmer, magic when they're alone together. It's thinking of this warm passion, of blazing hot embraces and sizzling kisses shared in secret, that twists Anna's frown into a large, amused grin.

Her eyes dance as she looks at the unsuspecting gentleman. "Don't worry. You'll get to know and love her like I do." But never truly like she does. No one will ever share the bond that she and her sister do. Nobody will ever know her like she does. That mere knowledge sends a hot tingle all the way through Anna's wriggling toes. She can't wait to see Elsa again!

Title: Bust A Dream
Author: Kat Lee
Fandom: RPS
Character/Pairing: Leslie/Kate

Challenge/Prompt: femslash100 DrabbleTag7: RPF: Kate McKinnon/Leslie Jones - awakening - requested by fresh_brainss

Word Count: 250
Date Written: 30 August 2016
Summary:
Disclaimer: Everybody belongs to themselves in this one, folks.

She stretches and becomes aware of a painful throbbing in her head. She thinks back to the previous night and the screening of her first real film. She remembers how cruel the critics had been and how her cast mates and Dan had stuck right by her. Murray hadn't exactly been with her, but he had given the press his finger.

Last night almost seems like a dream except she still hears the words they screamed at her. Her mother had always warned her that Hollywood was a terrible place filled with animals of the two-legged variety that would rather rip a girl apart than see her succeed. She'd been right.

Leslie's eyes pop open as she feels movement next to her. She looks down into the sleeping, peaceful face of a woman who almost looks like an Angel. Almost except there's nothing Angelic about the heat they generate when they're close together, and evidently, they'd gotten very close last night. Leslie lifts the sheet, looks underneath, and smiles. Damn straight they'd gotten close last night!

Kate's eyes flutter open. "Morning, Sleeping Beauty." Leslie grins, dropping the sheet.

"Last night was good . . . wasn't it?" Kate asks, reaching for her hand.

Leslie threads her fingers through hers. "Those critics can go fuck themselves. Last night was everything I could've wanted . . . " She tugs on Kate's hand, bringing her closer. " . . . and much, much more," she concludes, lowering her mouth toward hers.

Kate meets her without any hesitation but only a murmured, "I'm glad."

She stares up at the stars, feeling the familiar press of a body that's no longer there beside her. She thinks of better times and things, of kisses that she never thought would end, of an embrace in which she never would have believed she would one day no longer find herself. She witnesses a star streak across the night sky. At one time, she would have hurried to make a wish, but tonight and every night, her wish is always the same.

Her wish is always that she'll come back to her, but she knows she can't. She buried what was left of Xena's body, but there wasn't much. For a while, she dared to tell herself that that was because she wasn't really dead -- she had escaped somehow and would return to her -- but as days turned into weeks, weeks into months, and months into years, Gabrielle was eventually forced to accept the truth: Her lover was dead, but their love would never die. Every night when she closes her eyes, her wish comes true for she dances again in Xena's arms and revels in her love once more.

Even tonight, so long after Xena last held her in her arms, she can still feel those arms wrapping around her. She can still close her eyes and imagine the press of the lips she loved gently touching her forehead, her neck, her lips . . . The breeze sways through the trees, and with it, Gabrielle remembers the sway of two bodies dancing together. She remembers what it felt like to seem to float in her arms, feeling like she wasn't tethered to the earth at all but only to her.

She still is connected to her. She dreams of her every night, but one morning, she's going to awake and find Xena back at her side where she belongs. She won't be alive, but then neither will Gabrielle. Death doesn't scare her. She welcomes it, because she knows with it comes her love and with her love, she again will have everything. She drifts off to sleep, dreaming of bodies sliding against each other, of a dance that, once began again, will never stop, and a love that never has and never will cease, a love that even now, years after she laid her lover to rest, remains everything to her.
