Thunder rumbles outside, seeming to grow distant, as she shuts the door behind her. Piper takes a breath as she slips out of her nightgown and lets it hit the floor. She's been planning this all week, and now her time is finally here. Flickering candlelight and a sweet perfume surround her as she pads across the linoleum floor of her bathroom.
She tests the water with a toe, then steps into the tub, and sinks underneath the bubbles. She stays there for a few seconds, just luxuriating in the feel of the water on her skin, before sliding back up to a sitting position. Her eyes are still closed. She lays her head against the back of the tub and sighs. It's so nice to just be able not to do anything at all for a little while.
She listens to the music of the storm outside. She thought at first it had been edging away, but now, she's not so sure. The thunder seems to be coming closer, and the increased rain on the roof is lulling her toward sleep. She knows she'll be cold and shivering, maybe even sick, if she lets herself go to sleep now, but the storm lulls her away from her good sense and soon has her drifting off.
She doesn't know when he enters the room, doesn't know the exact moment when his hands touch her body, but the next thing Piper's aware of is the sound of her own soft moans in response to Cole's hands on the back of her neck. She sighs again and leans into his skilled touch. He leans closer and rubs harder.
Gradually, he works each kink out of her neck before placing a kiss on her cheek. The storm outside is building, but Piper doesn't pay the flashing lightning bouncing off of the single window in the bathroom or the roaring thunder any mind. She just sighs again, happily, and nuzzles her neck against mouth as he trails kisses from her cheek on down to her shoulder.
"I've been planning this all week," she says just to see what his response will be.
She can hear his smile in his voice as he answers in a deep and husky tone, "So have I." He sweeps her hair into his hands, squirts a little of her strawberry scented shampoo into his palm, and begins to gently lather her long, black hair. He washes her hair longer than what is necessary, taking his time and pleasure in stroking her strands and making sure she feels his love.
He washes her gently as the storm builds back into a crescendo, and once the shampoo is gone from her hair, he leans closer again and lips the top of her ear. Piper jumps in surprise, then laughs. The sound echoes in the bathroom. Cole runs his tongue around the outside of her ear, then dips inside. He knows her every ticklish spot and has Piper jumping delightfully against him.
Finally he lifts his head from her ear and moves further down her neck. He wraps his arms around her from behind, his hands finding her breasts beneath the bubbles. He hugs her while he strokes her and nibbles her neck. He rocks her slowly as the pleasures he's evoking inside of her wrap around her.
Then, suddenly, the tub is gone. Winds blow at Piper's hair, and she shivers both from desire and from the sudden change in temperature. She would have fallen when they shimmered, but he held her tight and firm. Now, gently, he sets her down on to her bare feet.
Lightning illuminates the hill upon which they're standing, and she realizes that his clothes, too, are gone. She hears music, and it's more than that of the storm. Violins, flutes, and something else -- harps? she wonders -- are being played, but she sees no instruments, music players, or any one else. They're alone on this mountain whose magical powers seem to thrum through the very soles of her feet.
"Cole?" she asks uncertainly.
He's grinning widely. He winks at her, and she suddenly feels so very conscious of the fact that she's naked before him even though they've danced this dance many times before. He bows gallantly, and she tries not to follow the curve of his fingers to the massive beast whose pleasures she knows well dangling behind his hand. He looks up expectantly, mirth still shining in his dark eyes. "May I have this dance?"
She manages to curtsy without bursting into laughter or blushing crimson red from the shyness fluttering inside of her. He takes her hand and begins to lead her in a close waltz. She gulps hard. She's fully aware of every inch of him sliding against every inch of her. They've made love many, many times before, but somehow tonight, she feels almost as nervous as a virgin.
Thunder blasts. Lightning flashes a little too close for comfort, and she jumps against him. His staff presses against her core as he cups her face softly in his large hand. His thumb brushes over her tender flesh. "It's all right, darling. You're safe here." He grins. "There's nothing but me and Mother Nature here."
She tilts her face up to see his whole smile and sees the mischief glinting in his dark eyes. "Where are we?" she asks.
"A place of old magic," he answers, his palm stroking her cheek. "A mountain as old as the Earth. Don't worry," he adds as though he can read her mind. "No one will see us here, my heart's desire." His grin widens. "You are my Venus. Aphrodite has nothing on you."
Piper's mouth almost drops open. So that's where they are! He's taken her to the mountain from which Venus descended! She looks around again, eager to make certain that there are no dangers around them, but Cole strokes her cheek once more. His long fingers run gently all the way from her temple down the side of her neck and further to her breast. She gasps, her desire flaring to need, as his fingernails gently scratch her hardened nipple.
"C-Cole -- "
"We're safe here, Piper. I promise." He beams down to her, and if she hadn't already been feeling his love, the worshipful look he gives her would send it all to her now. "I just wanted you to know you're my Venus, you're my fire, my desire -- "
"Cole," she breathes his name again through a widening smile and shakes her head in disbelief. After all their time together, her man is still constantly finding ways to surprise her!
The wind's still whipping at her bare skin and hair. Her body's still wet, but it's shivering more now with need than with cold. In fact, she's burning up inside -- burning for him yet again. There's no wonder they say that love can set a person on fire. She certainly feels that way right now!
He cups her face again in his hands. "I love you, Piper," he tells her again as he tells her every day of their lives together. He kisses her again, and this time, he doesn't lift his mouth.
She steps closer and closer still until there's no space left between them. She can hear all the music of Mother Nature now -- the whipping wind, the roaring thunder, the slashing lightning, and the drumming rain that's still hitting her flesh -- as well as whatever other enchanted music he's managed to bring to them tonight. It feels like her very heart is singing in tune.
She lifts her mouth from his and flashes him a huge smile, grateful for what he's made for them tonight and for his love always. "I love you too," she answers, and then with her hands on him and her lips on his once more, she guides him home. The sounds of the storm drowns out their cries of pleasure, but they'll both remember this night of love forever.
